Boston, MA — Merrimack Women's Track and Field began their season at the Early Bird Invite at The TRACK at New Balance on Saturday afternoon as the teams took wins in two events with nine podium finishes.
Riley Paskow,
Piper Testa and
Rebecca Russalesi took all three podium positions in the 300 Meter Dash with times of 41.02, 42.23 & 42.24.
Isabella Tomic also finished in the top five with a time of 42.59.
The team of
Ella McDonough,
Piper Testa,
Grace Bleyer and
Riley Paskow finished third in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:44.99, the team of
Lillian Warner,
Madison DeCamp,
Rebecca Russalesi and
Jennifer Baker finished just behind, clocking in with a time of 1:45.80.
Bella Hayes and
Gabby Hayes finished first and fourth in the shot put event with throws of 12.39 and 10.68 meters.
Catlitin Garrahy finished runner up in the weight throw with a throw of 12.92 meters.
Bella Hayes placed fourth reaching 12.36 meters.
Elizabeth Murphy finished second in the high jump with a height of 1.65 meters,
Jacqueline Perry finished fourth with a height of 1.40 meters.
Riley Paskow finished second in the long jump with a distance of 5.41 meters,
Grace Bleyer placed fourth with a jump of 5.24 meters.
Bleyer also finished fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.41 meters.
Katie Sills finished on the podium in the pole vault, reaching a height of 3.35 meters.
Maci Chapman and
Marianna Collins finished sixth and seventh respectively in the 5000 meter run with times of 17:50.59 and 17:51.16.
Merrimack returns to action after the new year as they participate in the Suffolk Ice Breaker on January 18th.
