NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack College men's basketball roster for the 2025-26 season is complete with 10 new additions. Head coach
Joe Gallo announced his new signing class in full on Monday morning.
"We are really excited to welcome these 10 guys and their families to our program," said Coach Gallo. "This is a deep, talented class filled with high character guys and is a great mix of five freshman and five transfers. We pride ourselves on not just accumulating talent, but building a team that can compete for a MAAC championship. Our coaching staff cannot wait to get these guys on campus as well as our returners to get going on our 2025-26 journey."
The 2025-26 class has a mix of both high school standouts and college basketball veterans. The class features five freshman and five transfers. The transfers range from graduate students to athletes going into their junior year.
Kevair Kennedy and Dylan Veillette were the two fall signings for the Warriors. Kennedy who is from Philly, averaged 16.1 points per game at Father Judge High School. He was also named Pennsylvania MaxPreps High School Player of the Year after winning the Philly Catholic League and PIAA 6A Championships. Veillette, attended St. George's School in Connecticut. He averaged 14.4 points per contest in a very competitive Class AA NEPSAC conference. Villette helped lead St. George's to an ISL Championship last season.
In the spring, the Warriors added eight new players that featured five transfers and three incoming freshmen. Todd Borgna is a junior transfer from Stonehill College who averaged 12.3 points per game a season ago for the Skyhawks. He earned third team all-Northeast Conference during the 2025 season. Before playing three years with the Skyhawks, Brogna led Worcester State to back-to-back NEPSAC AA Championships. Aliou Cisse comes to North Andover from the University of Bridgeport where he averaged 19.5 points per game a season ago. He was also voted CACC Player of the Year and earned First-Team All-Conference honors.
The Warriors also acquired Quinn Kwasniak from Cornerstone Christian in Cleveland, Ohio. Kwasniak left Cornerstone as the all-time leading scorer in the history of the state of Ohio after dropping 3,342 career points. He finished his senior year with 1,115 points and 183 three-point field goals made, which is also an Ohio best. He led his team to a division IV finals appearance and was named division IV Player of the Year. Merrimack added Las Salle University transfer Andrés Marrero during the summer signing period. Marrero played three years for the Explores, starting 19 games. He averaged 7.9 points per game during the 2023-24 season and his currently a member of the Venezuelan National Team.
Jacob Moore is an incoming freshman from Paul IV Catholic High School in Virginia. He played an instrumental role for the 2025 WCAC regular season and tournament champions. His Paul IV finished ranked 10
th national by MaxPreps and SC Next. David Munro is the final freshman addition for the class of 2025. Munro hails from Camden High School in New Jersey. He averaged 19 points per game a season ago and led his team to a state semifinal appearance. Munro was named to the NJ Athletics All State Second-Team, as well as the NJ.com All State Third Team.
Ernest Shelton comes to the Warriors from Gannon University where he averaged 17.4 points per game a season ago. He led Gannon to a PSAC tournament championship, as well as a NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional appearance. Shelton was named to the PSAC western division first team. KC Ugwuakazi is the final addition for the Warriors in this recruiting class. The Massachusetts native comes back home year stay at East Texas A&M. Last season he averaged 5.2 points per game, playing over 15 minutes. At Cheshire Academy he was a NEPSAC honorable mention. Before Cheshire he won a state championship at Malden Catholic.
