NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Joe Gallo and the Merrimack College men's basketball coaching staff have solidified their next group.
The Warriors, who reached the MAAC Men's Basketball Championship following a regular-season title in 2025-26, had plenty of film to watch after an offseason in which the challenges of new-age college basketball impacted Merrimack. Gallo and company, however, are well-versed in finding talent and believe the program is in a good spot with five additions coming via the transfer portal and four freshmen set to arrive.
"We are fired up to get this group to campus in a few weeks and get to work," Gallo said. "We believe that we constructed another roster that can compete for a conference championship. Our roster has a great balance of returners, transfers and freshmen that all fit the profile of a Merrimack basketball player. I cannot wait to see the competitive spirit that will be bouncing off the walls in Hammel Court on July 6."
The group of nine newcomers will complement returners including Todd Brogna, Dylan Veillette, Jacob Moore, Quinn Kwasniak, David Munro and Tye Dorset.
