Smithfield, RI – The Merrimack men's cross-country team started their 2025 season strong as Aidan Dupiill finished top five overall and a runner up finish in the 5000 meter race at Shawn Nassaney Invite at Bryant University held on Saturday morning.

Aidan Dupill finished in the top five for the overall event with a fourth place finish with an official time of 15:49.20,
Sean Moore placed in 13
th with a mark of 16:09.50,
Ben Rich logged a 16
th place finish with a time of 16:5.40,
Reidar Aageson finished in 18
th with a time of 18
th, and
Michael Alleva rounded out the Warriors top five with a time of 16:20.10, 20
th overall.

Chris Cameron: "Similar to the women, the men had some good individual performances but still have a ways to go as a team. Our 1 - 5 split was decent for a first race. Now we need to work on tightening our pack, and having it move up in the field for future races."
The Warriors raced the 5,000 meter course against hosts Bryant, Stonehill, Wheaton, RIC, and Franklin Pierce, and Keene State.
