AMHERST, MA — Trevor Hoskin made it two goals in two games as he scored his fifth goal of the season late in the first period but the Warriors would fall to the UMass Minutemen 3-1 at the Mullins Center on Saturday night.
Hoskins, the Warriors point leader, has 21 total points in 21 games played so far this season. Austin Oravetz and Justin Gill had assists on the tally.
Despite the early Warrior lead, UMass tied the score 1-1 in the second period and scored twice in the third including an empty net goal to get the 3-1 victory.
Max Lundgren once again impressed making 38 saves in the contest.
The Warriors return home for two games next week at Lawler Arena against the Northeastern Huskies beginning on Thursday, January 22 at 7:00 p.m. with the second on Friday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m.
