Hayes Named MAAC Rookie of the Week

North Andover, MA-- Merrimack College women's Track and Field member Bella Hayes was named as MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) Rookie of the Week as announced by conference on Tuesday afternoon.


Hayes a freshman, who specializes in Throws from Arlington, Massachusetts won her event at the MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational on Saturday, with a shot put throw of 12.68 meters, which is a new Personal Record that moves her to 2nd on our record board in the event.
 
Merrimack continues their season next week as they will take part in the Harvard University Invitational on Friday, January 30^th.
