Chris Goode started off his senior season with a single and a walk, one of only two players to reach base twice.
Lead off hitter Matt DeShiro found the bases once after a single.
Both Chris Kiesiner and Zach Broderick tallied two strikeouts in their season debuts.
First pitch on Friday against the Cardinals is set for 12 pm noon. Saturday's game against the Pirates is noon, and Sunday against the Cardinals again is set for 10 am.
