LEWISBURG, PA - Merrimack College baseball lost both games of a doubleheader this afternoon against the Bison of Bucknell University. In a seven inning game to start the day, the Warriors fell 3-2, and in the second game the team lost 6-5.
GAME 1:
Joey Frammartino tallied three hits, including two doubles, and an RBI in the first game of the day.
Rookie of the Week Garrett McGovern hit an RBI double in the fourth inning.
Matt DeShiro found the bases twice after recording a single in the third inning, and a walk in his very next at bat.
James Nichols started the game and went three strong innings. He allowed only two hits and one earned run while punching out four batters.
GAME 2:
Greg Cristino continued his impressive week with hits, and three RBI's. Cristino broke through in the fourth inning, crushing a home run to left field, and then a double later in the game.
Second baseman Matt DeShiro added on another three hits to his day to go with a walk.
Joey Frammartino reached base twice after recording a double and a walk.
Brooks Craigue knocked in a runner off a single in the sixth inning.
James Borsari struck out three batters in 3.2 innings of work and allowed no runs.
The Warriors finish their eight game road trip with a game against Bryant University on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
