LAWRENCE, MA - Merrimack baseball seeks their third conference series win off the season this weekend against Manhattan.
The Warrior pitching staff is led by Colby Barker, who is 5-0 and is SECOND in the nation in ERA (0.35). Barker is only one of ten pitchers in the D1 with a 5-0 record.
Jayden Hamilton is the Warrior hit leader through the first 21 games. He's up to 28 hits, including three doubles and 12 RBI's.
Both Matt DeShiro and Greg Cristino have six doubles. Cristino has driven in a team leading 22-runs with a .296 batting average.
Joey Frammartino paces the Warriors in batting average (.355), OPS (1.055), and in slugging (.532). Frammartino also had the most walks (19) and hit-by-pitches (5) on the team.
Christian Scanlon crushed his fourth home run of the season on Tuesday in a pinch hit appearance.
Freshman catcher Garrett McGovern is batting .353 this season with 18 hits and 11 RBI's.
First pitch of the series is Friday at 3 p.m. Game two on Saturday is at 1 pm and Sunday is at 12 pm.
