Baseball Welcomes Holy Cross To Alumni Field For Evening Matchup

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Merrimack College baseball faces off with the Crusaders of Holy Cross this Tuesday in a non-conference matchup at 5 p.m.

The Warriors are coming off two straight victories over the Manhattan Jaspers to win the weekend series. 

In the final two games of the series the Warriors outscored the Jaspers 27-1. 

Greg Cristino has swung a hot bat recently, hitting two home runs in the weekend series. Cristino's two home runs came with two doubles and three RBI's. He leads the team in RBI's (26) and in home runs (5). 

Joey Frammartino continued his dominant play hitting a double and a three-run homer over the weekend. Frammartino is the team leader in average (.357), OPS (1.110), and slugging (.571). He's driven in 19 runs this year. 

Matt DeShiro enters the week with a .309 batting average. He had four hits during the Manhattan and drove in two runs. 

Brooks Craigue had five hits, including two doubles, in a four RBI weekend. He crushed a home run in game three of the series to bring his RBI total up to 12. 

Christian Scanlon broke the game open on Sunday with a grand slam. The home run was his fifth of the season. 

The Warriors saw a stellar pitching performance from James Borsari on Saturday, who earned his first win of the season. He allowed only five hits in five innings of work, and held the Jaspers to zero runs.
