NORTH ANDOVER, MA. – Merrimack Softball begins conference play tomorrow as they head to Shippensburg, PA to face Mount St. Mary's at 11 AM and 1:30 PM after weather issues altered the scheduling to a doubleheader and venue.
Jamie Calkins has had a solid start to her season, riding an early six game hit streak into the weekend. Calkins is batting .333 overall with a .906 OPS.
Caity Lemay has a team tying eight hits on the year (with Calkins) and all eight came in the previous weekends games, including six RBI, with four coming on a grand slam.
Megan Miller is the reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week after she had four hits in four games last weekend, including two run homer against Cornell and an four of her five RBI in those games.
