NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- Next stop? Postseason baseball.
The Merrimack Warriors officially clinched the No. 4 seed in the MAAC Baseball Championships, as announced by the league on Saturday evening.
Merrimack (26-27, 20-10 in conference) will face No. 5 Canisius in the first round of the double-elimination tournament, which will be held at Heritage Financial Park in Wappingers Falls, NY.
Merrimack and Canisius will take the diamond Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET.
The Warriors enter the playoffs having swept Quinnipiac in their final series of the regular season. It marked a third consecutive sweep against an in-conference opponent as well as a fourth straight series win against an in-conference foe.
