Joe Gallo and the Merrimack men's basketball team will start their 2026-27 campaign.
The Metro Conference on Thursday announced its full conference schedule for men's basketball. The women's basketball schedule is slated to be release by the conference Monday.
The Warriors, who earned the regular-season title in 2025-26 before they reached the championship game in Atlantic City, open conference play at Siena on Friday, Dec. 4, which serves as a rematch of the tournament championship game last season. Both teams will feature vastly different rosters with the Saints employing a new coach, Nevada Smith, after the departure of Gerry McNamara.
Merrimack hosts it's first home game against Fairfield on Sunday, Dec. 6, before a few weeks off around the College's final exam schedule. The Warriors return from a brief winter break to host Iona on Tuesday, Dec. 29, before traveling to Manhattan on New Year's Day.
All in all, the Warriors host 10 conference games and travel for 10 more with a two-game road trip marking their longest time away from Lawler Arena.
