NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- The Merrimack women's tennis team looks to bounce back as they host Assumption University at Brooks School on Thursday afternoon.
Adam Courtemanche and company are coming off a home match last week, which marked the first collegiate showing for some Merrimack newcomers.
"It was great to give them a sense of what college tennis is like," Courtmanche said.
Courtmanche is hopeful heading into the match against Assumption after a solid week of work.
"We've had a great last week of practices," he said. "The girls all played a couple of challenge matches against each other. They're all working hard, pushing each other every day to improve. We have a very young team, with more than half of the team being freshmen."
Merrimack has longstanding success against Assumption having won 13 of 17 matches.
Laetizia Bojara, who was winning her rain-shortened match last week, will lead the Warriors at No. 1 singles.
Match time is set for 2 p.m. ET.
