STORRS, CT – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team heads down to Storrs, CT on Friday for the UConn Invitational.
The Warriors gear up for one final test before Metro conference play begins for Coach Ken Nichols squad next Friday the 25th, when they head to Riverdale, NY to take on Manhattan.
First up for the Warriors, they'll square off with the Rhode Island Rams on Friday in their lone matchup for the day. URI comes into this matchup sitting at 4-5 on the season, just recently defeating fellow MAAC program Quinnipiac in four sets. First serve for that one set for 2pm.
The Warriors will have a quick turn around, as they return to the court on Saturday as part of a double header. At noon time, they will take on the host team the UConn Huskies who come into this one 5-5, right at .500 on the season. And then to cap off the invitational, it will be the Warriors going up against Coppin State who ride into the weekend on a three match win streak. It will be the first time the two programs square off on the volleyball court. First serve set for 6:30pm.
