WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The Merrimack College women's tennis program blanked the University of New Haven on Sunday, 9-0, in a road Northeast-10 Conference match from the UNH Tennis Courts.

  • Merrimack got off to a quick start at first doubles, with junior Mana Seifaei (North York, Ontario) and freshman Cassie Restrepo (Miami, Fla.) delivering an 8-2 win
  • Senior captain Danielle Dunn (Middleton, Mass.) and sophomore Mia Briggs (York, Maine) contributed an 8-4 win at No. 2 to ensure a lead entering singles, while freshman Abbie Sartori (Amesbury, Mass.) entering the lineup at the third flight to pair with Mackenzie Blair (Thomaston, Conn.) and complete the sweep, 8-6
Rapid Recap (Singles)
  • Seifaei rallied from a first-set loss to win in three, taking a 10-4 breaker in the third to complete the victory
  • All five other flights went in favor of the Warriors in straight sets. After not playing during doubles, junior Lauren Persson (Barnstable, Mass.) notched a 6-4, 6-2 win at second singles
  • Dunn and Blair each recorded first-set shutouts at third and sixth singles, respectively, en route to two-set victories. Restrepo won at No. 4, while Briggs prevailed at No. 5
