NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's basketball program will aim to increase its Northeast-10 Conference winning streak to seven games when the Warriors arrive in Pleasantville, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off against Pace University.  

Last Time Out:
  • Sophomore Juvaris Hayes (Paterson, N.J.) notched the second triple-double of his career on Wednesday, totaling 21 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in the Warriors' 11-point win against Southern Connecticut on Wednesday night
  • Hayes' second half was particularly effective, finishing with 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists with only two turnovers
  • Merrimack got the best effort of the season from its reserves, with the Warriors' bench accounting for 33 points. Junior Troy McLaughlin (Old Tappan, N.J.) posted a season-high 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting from three-point range
  • For the third time in his last four games, sophomore Devon Moore (Hanover, Pa.) totaled 11 points. Eight of his 11 came in the final 20 minutes, making all three of his field-goal attempts, including two from distance
'Mack Facts:
  • Hayes' first triple-double came last November against Concordia (N.Y.). He became the first player in the NE10 and the East Region to record a triple-double in 2017-18, and just the ninth player nationwide
  • The Warriors' floor general now leads the country in total assists (121), assists per game (8.6), total steals (55) and steals per game (3.9)
  • Moore is shooting 50 percent (9-18) from three-point range over his last four games, averaging nearly 10 points per game. The Warriors are 5-1 this season when the reserve shooter hits at least one trey in a game
  • Through 14 games, the Warriors maintained their seventh-place ranking in scoring offense (75.9) in the NE10
  • Merrimack' scoring defense of 70.1 points per game is the best in the Northeast Division
The Setters:
  • Pace had its season-long three-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night in the Setters first game against the Northeast Division, 90-72, at division-leading Southern New Hampshire
  • Freshman Brandon Jacobs paces the Setters with 14.8 points per game. Jacobs is the highest scoring rookie in the Southwest Division
  • Pace's defense has allowed the most three-pointers (150) and three-point attempts (389) in the NE10
The Series:
  • Merrimack will look to move within two games of tying the all-time series, which Pace currently leads, 19-16
  • The Warriors equaled their season high last season with 100 points against Pace, winning by 26 
  • Four members of the Navy and Gold finished in double figures last season, including 20 points for McLaughlin on 7-of-9 shooting and a career-high 18 points for senior Kyle Howes (Maynard, Mass.)
