BOSTON, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's track & field team opened up the 2018-19 season with a handful of incredible performances Saturday afternoon. Leading the way for the Warriors was sophomore
Patrick Forrest, who won the 200M with both a school and meet record time of 21.83.
Senior
Jacob Robinson also placed first in the 500M, and the team saw top-three performances from five different athletes:
Trevor Ciempa (500M),
TJ Corliss (3,000M),
Patrick Whyte (high jump),
Travis Hunt (weight throw), and
Eric Rosario (400M).

Highlights
- Sophomore Pat Forrest won the 200M in a school and meet record time of of 21.83. Forrest also came in a very close second in the 400m running 49.04, which equals his Indoor personal best.
- Junior Eric Rosario finished third in the 400m in a season opener of 49.41.
- Senior Jacob Robinson placed first in the 500M with a final time of 1:07.16, and Trevor Ciempa placed third with a time of 1:08.75.
- Freshman Jadyn Ruimwijk finished 5th in both the 200m (22.90) and 60m (7.15).
- Freshman Drew Gardner started his indoor campaign with a 5th place finish and claimed a PR in his first Indoor meet.
- Patrick Whyte placed second in the high jump, clearing a personal best of 1.95m (6'4.75").
- Travis Hunt heaved a school record 11.06m (36'3.5") in the weight throw and came in 4th in the shot put with a throw of 13.84m (45'5").
- Noah Davis ran strong from the beginning in the Men's 3,000m placing 4th in 8:56.03.
