CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Playing a pair of abbreviated matches on Saturday evening due to court availability, the Merrimack College men's tennis team graced the indoor courts at the JB Carr Tennis Bubble on the campus of MIT. The Warriors fell to the No. 21 Engineers, 3-1, before suffering a 5-0 defeat to Division I Boston University.

• In an abbreviated match against the Division III Engineers, the Warriors' lone doubles duo of senior Mikhail Belov and junior Tyler Clontz bested MIT's Henry La Soya and Omar Gonzalez, 8-2, for Merrimack's lone point of the match
• Three singles matches were played, with MIT winning two in straight sets. For the second straight match, mid-year transfer Denis Davydov played a three-set contest, winning the opener (7-5) before dropping the final two frames

Rapid Recap (BU)

• Clontz and junior Alex Fedorov debuted as a pairing, playing a 13-game tilt against BU's No. 1 offering, but the Terriers held on for the 8-5 win
• Belov played his only singles match of the night at the first flight, taking the second set to 12 games before bowing out to BU's top option, Owen Lu
• Davydov, Fedorov and sophomore Paul Weidinger played at No. 2-4 , respectively, with Weidinger making his lone appearance of the night at fourth singles
