NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After a long week off, the No. 6 Merrimack College men's soccer program looks to improve on their 4-0 start going into their first road trip of the year against Bentley University Wednesday, September 19, at 3:30 p.m.
Last Time Out:
- The Warriors last took the field against Saint Michael's over a week ago and secured their first 4-0 start since 2015.
- Saint Michael's entered the game with a 1-2 record coming off of a win over Saint Anselm a week prior.
- Merrimack took a quick lead only 8 minutes in on a goal from junior Sebastian Toro, his first of the season.
- Senior Paul Magazzu also tallied his first goal of the season only 38 seconds into the second half.
- Senior goalkeeper Tyler Packett held the Purple Knights scoreless for his third shutout of the season.
Mack Facts:
- Merrimack has nine players with at least one point through their first four games.
- Packett is currently sporting a 0.25 goals-against average, which is good for fifth-best in the nation.
- The Warriors have only given up one goal through four contests helping them to a 4-0 start as well as moving up to No. 6 in the national rankings.
