Five Things To Know
- The Warriors split two road games last week, picking up their first win of the season at the College of Holy Cross. Freshman goaltender Troy Kobryn was excellent between the pipes of the Warriors, stopping the final 27 shots he faced including a 16-save third period as part of the victory
- On the power play, Merrimack scored a pair of goals to snap an 0-for-11 drought to start the season; senior Sami Tavernier potted the first goal on the man-advantage – which proved to be the game-winner – and sophomore Logan Drevitch added the second
- Drevitch joins senior teammates Tyler Irvine and Patrick Kramer in a tie for first on the team with four points apiece. Irvine and sophomores Jordan Seyfert and Chase Gresock lead the way with two goals each. As a team, Merrimack has averaged 2.60 goals per game
- Friday's meeting will be the 114th in the Merrimack-UNH rivalry and first of three tilts between the Warriors and Wildcats this season. The program's will meet for a home-and-home set on Dec. 6-7. Merrimack has a 28-75-10 all-time record against UNH
