Men's Track and Field Takes Second at Dartmouth

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's track and field team earned a second place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational against UMass Amherst, Dartmouth, Vermont and Williams College over the weekend.

Weekend Highlights:
  • Sophomore Aaron Gable ran a competitive race, as he equaled his PR of 8.63 to come in second by .05, crossing at 8.63.
  • Senior Patrick Whyte won the high jump clearing 1.90m.
  • In the triple jump, Carson Doody finished at 13.25m for second and Daryl Loreus came in third at 12.65m.
  • Jolon O'Connor ran a PR in the 60m at 7.00 and finished third.
  • Freshman Colin Rahaman took third in 500m at 1:08.59.
  • In the 5000m, senior Brian Sardinskas, finished in 16:00.36 to take third.
  • A trio of athletes had solid performances in the shot put, as freshman Nate Quaye 14.35m took third, Travis Hunt set a PR in his fifth place finish at 14.06m, with sophomore Patrick Redmond throwing 13.69m for seventh.

The Warriors will compete in the Boston University Valentine's Invitational at Reggie Lewis on Friday, Feb. 14 and Sunday, Feb. 15.
