NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's track and field team set the pace against high level New England competition, earning a second place finish in a tri-meet against UMass and Holy Cross in Amherst over the weekend.
Merrimack finished the meet with 107 total points, with the Warriors winning five different events across the competition.
The Basics

Meet Highlights:
- Two underclassmen led the way in the 1500m with Griffin Allaire winning the event at 4:07.20 with sophomore Dylan Kehoe finishing at 4:14.06 for third in the event.
- Freshman Ben Chase won the 5000 meter race at 15:58.64.
- Aaron Gable won the 110m hurdles at 15.57, setting a new personal record and moved to third all-time in program history with the finish.
- In the 400m hurdles, senior Dan Lovell took second with a 56.53 finish.
- Winning the 4x400 relay was Davonte McKoy, Jason Louis, Dan Lovell and Jaeden Smith, crossing at 3:23.66.
- The 4x100 relay teams had strong finishes, taking second, third and fourth in the event.
- Joron Harrell took first in the triple jump with a 13.46m mark.
- The Warriors took second, third and fourth in the shot put with throws from Travis Hunt at 14.14m, Patrick Redmond at 13.79m, and Nathan Quaye at 13.43m.
- Redmond and Quaye also took second and third in the discus, as Redmond had a 44.10m throw and Quaye had a 41.90m throw.

The Warriors will host a meet at Duane Stadium on April 10, welcoming Assumption, Bryant, St. Anselm and UMass Lowell to North Andover.  Â
