SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Merrimack College men's tennis team traveled to Bryant University this weekend to take part in the Bryant Invite. The Warriors'
Jan Semerak continued his hot start to the fall season as he went undefeated in singles play.
The Teplice nad Metují, Czech Republic native once again impressed on the court as he went 2-0 in singles and 3-1 overall. After his performance, he has a flawless 5-0 record in singles play and 9-2 overall so far this fall.
The Warriors also competed against Bentley, Bryant and LIU during the tournament.

- Semerak once again was impressive for the Warriors as the sophomore started his weekend out with a doubles win alongside partner Phil Grueninger (8-4), then capped the opening day with a singles win over Bryant's Nick Lorenz by a 6-3, 6-2 final. Semerak finished his perfect tournament in singles play Sunday when he knocked off LIU's Ben Brandherm in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
- Merrimack welcomed back upperclassmen, Conrad Koch and Pedro de Godoy Mancini, who both started off on the right foot with wins in their respective singles matches. Koch made quick work of his opponent Saturday with a 6-0, 6-4 defeat of Bentley's Daniel Weitz. On the same day, Mancini followed suit with a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 decision over Reilly O'Brien of Bentley.
- The newcomer Grueninger showed great strides as he achieved his first collegiate wins going 2-1 on the weekend, with two doubles wins.
