Lowell, MA— The Merrimack Men's Track and Field team competed in the George Davis Invitational hosted by UMass Lowell this weekend, which was highlighted by
Cory Couture and
Stephen Gallagher's strong performances.
Cory Couture won the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.53 seconds,
Carson Mighty finished seventh in the same event with a time of 22.72. Couture also won the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.16 seconds.
Billy Coakley finished third in the 5000 meter run with a time of 14.44.88.

Ryan Dyer and
Ben Chase finished sixth, seventh, and eighth with times of 15:05.66, 15:07.89, and 15:08.65.
Michael Alleva finished fourth in the 1500 meter run event with a time of 4:00.07 seconds.
Neil Letellier placed fourth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:03.49.
Landon Crowley finished fifth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.42.
Ryan Gamelin finished seventh in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:54.55.
John Elie finished second in the 110 meter hurdle event with a time of 14.98 seconds,
Jackson Bomba finished fifth in the same event with a time of 16.14.
Holden Speed won the triple jump event with a distance of 43'10" feet, he also finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 20-7.75 feet.
Drew Gardner won the pole vault event with a mark of 15-5 feet,
Maxim Lussier finished seventh with a mark of 11.5 feet.
Stephen Gallagher finished second in the Javelin throw event with a distance of 202-8.75 feet, good enough for second of the school's all time record list.
