Men's Track and Field Places Fourth in Northeast Conference Championship

 
The Merrimack Men's Track and Field team finished fourth on Sunday at the Northeast Conference Championships held at Martone-Mejail Field.
 
Cory Couture won the men's 400 meter race with a time of 47.35 seconds. Jaeden Smith finished seventh in the same event. Cory also finished in third in the men's 200 meter with a time of 21.60 seconds.
 
The Merrimack 4x400 relay team of Brian Smith, Blake Hickey, Colin Rahaman and Cory Couture finished second with a time of 3.17.53 seconds.
 
The 4x100 meter relay team of Landon Crowley, Carson Mighty, Brian Smith, Cory Couture finished third with a time of 41.73.
 
Billy Coakley finished fourth in the men's 1500 meter run with a time of 3:58.53, Neil Letellier finished sixth with a mark of 4:00.06 and Michael Alleva finished seventh with a time of 4:01.34.
 
John Elie finished fourth in the men's 110 meter hurdle with a time of 14.31.
 
Ryan Gamelin finished fourth in the 800 meter final with a time of 1:55.04, Antonio Craveiro finished seventh with a time of 1:56.23 and Zach Bail finished eighth with a time of 1:58.14
 
Albert Ferreras finished sixth in the men's 10000 meter run with a time of 31:32.67.
 
The 4x800 relay team of Griffin Alllaire, Luke Llewellyn, Trey Gonzalez and William Ballard finished sixth with a time of 8:12.08.
 
DJ Walsh and Cole Gamache finished sixth and seventh respectively in the 3000 meter steeple chase with times of 10:05.22 and 10:10.92.
Blake Hickey finished eighth in the men's 400 meter hurdle with a time of 58.72.
 
Claudel Chevalier finished third in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 53.58 meters, Grant Eastin finished eighth in the same event with a mark of 49.34 meters. Grant also finished eighth in the shot put with a throw of 14.55 meters.
Drew Gardner finished third with a mark of 4.50 meters, Maxim Lussier finished fifth in the pole vault final with a mark of 4.50 meters as well. Max Bothwell finished sixth with a mark of 4.40 meters.
 
Holden Speed finished fifth in the high jump final with a mark of 1.92 meters. Holden also finished seventh in the men's triple jump with a jump of 13.80 meters.
Steven Gallagher finished fifth in the men's javelin with a throw of 50.46 meters, Zachary Hubbard finished seventh in the same event with a throw of 49.51 meters.
Merrimack will compete at their final meet of the season next week as they will participate in the New England Track & Field Championships.
