MONTGOMERY, NY. – The Merrimack women's cross country team competed in the MAAC Conference Championships where they finished eighth overall. The Warriors saw multiple PR's and a new school record in the 6,000 kilometer race.

Graduate
Ava Mahoney paved the way for the Warriors, navigating the course in 21:05.2 for an impressive top-ten finish. Her performance shattered the school 6k record and earned All-Conference Honors.
Olivia Beaudet was next to cross the line for the Warriors, clocking in at 22:25.2 for a 47
th place finish. Teammate
Maci Chapman was not far behind, punching in at 22:30.8 to take 51
st place.
Madison Cote's 54
th place finish in 22:32.3 added crucial points for the Warriors.
Lily Thomas also posted a stellar performance, racing 22:37.7 to secure 59
th place.
Olivia Guckian and
Avaline Fihlman also helped the Warriors to an eight place finish, with their times of 22:48.4 and 23:03.4 for 66
th and 72
nd place.
The Warriors raced the 6,000 meter course at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, New York against 13 teams in the MAAC conference. The Warriors scored a total of 209 points and edged out conference foes Fairfield, Niagara, and Manhattan.
