BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Five members of the Merrimack College baseball team we're recognized for their great play all season long.
Dawson Bryce was awarded with NEC Rookie of The Year and All-Conference Second Team.

Christian Gemelli all earned their way onto the All-Conference First Team at their respective positions.
Dawson Bryce, Freshman Third Baseman | NEC Rookie of The Year | NEC All-Conference Second Team

Dawson Bryce, took home NEC Rookie of The Year after leading the conference in runs, hits, doubles and total bases. Along with leading the entire NEC, he was the nation's leader amongst freshmen in hits. The Taunton, Massachusetts native hit .363 with 15 homers and 55 RBI's in his first season of college baseball. Bryce was perched atop the NEC in numerous other categories such as home runs, RBI's, OPS, and slugging percentage. He was named to the NEC All-Conference Second Team as a third baseman as well. This marks the second straight year a Merrimack player has captured the NEC Rookie of The Year.
Matthew Chatelle, Sophomore Catcher | NEC All-Conference First Team

Matthew Chatelle, was named the NEC All-Conference First Team catcher. Chatelle was a monster down the stretch for the Warriors behind the plate both defensively and with his bat. The Stoneham, Massachusetts product held a .996 fielding percentage while hitting over .300 with 11 home runs. He totaled 42 hits and 46 RBI's during his campaign and threw out 11 runners with his cannon of an arm along the way.
Frankie Ferrentino, Sophomore Designated Hitter | NEC All-Conference First Team

Frankie Ferrentino, earned the distinction of NEC All-Conference First Team. Ferrentino, who captured NEC Rookie of The Year in 2023, led the entire conference in homers with 18 while hitting .313. He hammered in a team leading 62 RBI's, good enough for second in the entire NEC, while going for a career best 67 hits. Ferrentino finished top 10 in the conference in slugging percentage and had a .382 on base percentage.
Braydon Dolbashian, Graduate Student First Baseman | NEC All-Conference First Team

Braydon Dolbashian, was voted for the NEC All-Conference First Team after a career year hitting the baseball. Dolbashian concluded his regular season at the top of the NEC leaderboards in both OPS (1.129) and slugging percentage (.707). While leading the conference in those two categories he was also able to hit 17 homers, knock in 49 RBI's and went for 54 total hits. The Bishop Hendricken product hit .323 with a .422 on base percentage. He also flashed the leather quite a bit throughout the season making gem after gem at first base. He owned a .983 fielding percentage with 384 putouts and 24 assists.
Christian Gemelli, Senior Outfielder | NEC All-Conference First Team

Christian Gemelli, snagged NEC All-Conference First Team honors after his stellar final year at Merrimack. The Carlisle, Massachusetts native was in the top five in numerous statistical categories in the NEC. He finished third in hits (77), seventh in RBI's (49), fourth in batting average (.368), fifth in on base percentage (.456) and fourth in slugging percentage (.632). Gemelli was a defensive monster in center field with a .983 fielding percentage with a career best 130 putouts.
