BOSTON, MA The Merrimack Men's Indoor Track and Field team competed in the Riverhawk Invitational hosted by UMass Lowell at the TRACK at New Balance on Friday.
John Elie Jr. placed first in the 60m Hurdles, securing a new school record in the event.
How it Happened
- Graduate student John Elie Jr. won the men's 60m Hurdles with a school record time of 8.13.
- Aidan Dupill finished 23rd in the men's mile with a personal best time of 4:19.29 with teammate Michael Alleva not far behind (4:22.60).
- In the men's 800m run, Owen Schultz ran a PB time of 1:56.49 for 15th place.
- Carson Mighty produced a top-10 finish in the men's 200m dash with a time of 22.29.
- Freshman Sean Moore placed ninth in the men's 5000m run after registering a personal best time of 15:12.43.
- Merrimack also found success in the field with Daniel Blatman finishing 11th in the men's weight throw with a mark of 16.34m (53' 7 ½").
- Jared Ptaszek also competed in weight throw tossing for 16.10m (52' 10") to earn a top-15 finish.
- In the men's triple jump, Evan Thevenot secured a 13th place finish with a mark of 6.44m (21' 1 ½").
- Maxim Lussier cracked the top-10 in men's pole vault, clearing 4.28m (14' 0 ½") for tenth place.
- Owen LaRoss and Kyle Adams represented Merrimack in the men's shot put earning marks of 13.06m (42' 10 ¼") and 12.99m (42' 7 ½"), respectively.
- Blake Hickey, Thomas Scalia, Owen Schultz, and Maddox Merlo represented the men's 4x400m relay team. The squad notched 12th place with a time of 3:27.67
