BOSTON, Mass. – Them Merrimack College women's indoor track & field team competed in the Reggie Collegiate Open held at the Reggie Lewis Center on Friday.
How it Happened
- Jahaida Gabriel won the women's 60m dash with a time of 7.76 seconds while teammate Sydney Connolly finished fourth in 7.96 seconds. Connolly also notched fourth place in the 200m dash, producing a time of 26.11.
- Brianna Farrell finished runner-up in the women's 5000m run with a time of 19:27.84.
- Kiera O'Brien and Jacqueline Perry competed in the 60m hurdles finishing seventh and eight respectively. O'Brien crossed the line in 10.54 seconds with Perry right on her heels (10.68).
- Marianna Collins tabbed second in the women's mile with a time of 5:20.55. Courtney Hinchion rounded out the top five, clocking in at 5:30.39.
- Riley Paskow and Isabella Tomic finished fourth and fifth respectively, in the women's 400m. Paskow finished in 1:00.18 with Tomic right behind (1:00.58).
- In the women's 800m run, Allison Dove finished fourth with a time of 2:41.19.
- The Warrior's 4x400-meter relay squad featuring Isabella Tomic, Angelina Zaykovskaya, Sydney Connolly, and Riley Paskow finished first with a time of 4:06.53.
- Champagne also competed in weight throw where she earned second with a mark of 14.47m with teammate Anya Cunningham registering a distance of 13.74m for third place.
- Merrimack found success in the field, with Makayla Champagne and Anya Cunningham finishing second and third in weight throw. Champagne earned a mark of 14.47m (47-05.75) and Cunningham tabbed a distance of 13.74m (45-01.00).
- Champagne also participated in shot put where she threw for 10.53m (34-06.75) for fourth place. Caitlin Garrahy produced a fourth place finish in the event with a mark of 10.44m (34-03.00).
- Merrimack had four Warriors in the top-five in the women's long jump. Grace Bleyer won the event with a mark of 5.47m (17-11.50). Riley Paskow finished second, jumping 5.41m (17-09.00). Lauren Boughner tabbed fourth with a mark of 5.16m (16-11.25) with teammate Renee Wilson right behind (5.16m (16-11.25)).
- Bleyer and Boughner also finished in the top five in triple jump. Bleyer secured a mark of 10.48m (34-04.75) for fourth place and Boughner hit 10.33m (33-10.75) for fifth.
- Elizabeth Murphy finished fifth in women's high jump, clearing 1.55m (5-01.00).
