NORTH ANDOVER, MA The Merrimack women's Indoor Track and Field team hosted the Alumni Classic on Thursday, finishing first out of four teams with 1855.50 points.
How it Happened
- Anya Cunningham won hammer throw with a mark of 47.84m and earned nine points for the Warriors. Makayla Champagne tossed for 46.33m for a third place finish, good for 6 points.
- In discus, Cameron Zuliani placed second with a mark of 39.95m while teammate Caitlin Garrahy finished fourth, tossing for 36.62m. Makayla Champagne also found success in the event, placing top-five, recording a mark of 36.47m.
- Kiera O'Brien placed eighth in javelin with a mark of 28.73m. Jacqueline Perry tossed for 20.38m for 12th place.
- Zuliani also came up big in shot put, finished second with a mark of 11.62m. Champagne placed fifth in the event, tossing for 10.77m.
- In pole vault, Katie Sills captured third by clearing a distance of 3.10m. Her performance added six points to the Warriors total. Rylee Dionne also scored for the Warriors with her seventh place finish (2.65m).
- Riley Paskow produced a second place finish in long jump, recording a distance of 5.59m for seven points. Grace Bleyer finished third (5.57m) with Lauren Boughner right behind (5.25m).
- Bleyer also competed in triple jump where she finished second with a mark of 11.01m. Likewise, Boughner claimed third in the event with a mark of 10.84m.
- The women's 4x100m relay tandem of Sydney Connolly, Grace Bleyer, Madison DeCamp, and Jahaida Gabriel placed second with a time of 48.02.
- Lily Thomas led the Warriors in the 1500m run, crossing the line in 4:48.06 for first place. Marianna Collins captured third with a time of 4:50.32 with Courtney Hinchion right on her tail (5:03). Their performance added 15 points to the Warrior's total.
- Isabella Tomic scored for the Warriors in the 100m hurdles by finishing seventh in 17.31 seconds. Kiera O'Brien also turned in an impressive performance, finishing top-10 with a time of 18.19.
- In the 400m run, Keira Fadden placed seventh, punching in at 1:04.72 and Riley Power finished 8th with a time of 1:07.54 seconds.
- Jahaida Gabriel won the women's 100m dash with a time of 12.18 seconds, good for nine points. Sydney Connolly finished third in the event with a time of 12.39 seconds. The tandem also swept the top-two spots in the 200m dash registering times of 24.98 and 25.32 respectively.
- Riley Paskow placed eighth in the 800m run with a time of 2:25.41 with teammate Caroline White right behind (2:26.07).
- Isabella Tomic also competed in the 400m hurdles, finishing third with a time of 1:07.10. Gabrielle Walbridge crossed the line in 1:16.15 seconds to capture sixth place.
- In the 5k, Maci Chapman paved the way for the Warriors, routing the circle in 17:56.97 for first place. Avaline Fihlman turned in an impressive run, clocking in at 18:57.59 for second.
- The 4x400m relay tandem of Sydney Connolly, Isabella Tomic, Caroline White, and Riley Paskow placed second with a time of 4:05.35.
- Merrimack College Alumni took to the 400m relay, earning a time of 4:42.21.
