CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's indoor track & field team competed in the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday.
How it Happened
- Daniel Blatman produced a new school record in weight throw, tossing for 18.62m (61-01.25) for second place.
- Nathan Molina won the long jump with a mark of 6.87m (22-06.50). Evan Thevenot placed third in the event with a mark of 6.47m (21-02.75) while teammate Brian Gallagher clinched fourth by jumping 6.42m (21-00.75).
- Kyle Adams placed seventh in men's shot put with a mark of 13.64m (44-09.00) while teammate Owen LaRoss took 9th by throwing for 13.02m (42-08.75).
- Nathan Molina finished seventh in high jump, clearing 1.85m (6-00.75).
- Evan Thevenot finished third in triple jump with a distance of 13.34m (43-09.25).
- William Bierden finished 15th in weight throw with a mark of 12.81m (42-00.50).
- Ryan Dyer won the men's mile with a time of 4:31.71 with teammate Daniel Walsh not far behind. Walsh finished second in 4:33.34.
- The Warriors claimed the top-three spots in the men's 1000m. Michael Alleva finished first in 2:36.02. Reidar Aageson took second, crossing the line in 2:36.04, and Luke Llewellyn finished third in 2:37.87.
- In the men's 200m dash, Braeden Manti finished top-three with a time of 23.54.
