BOSTON, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's indoor track & field team competed in the NEICAAA Indoor Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston Massachusetts this weekend. The Warriors finished eighth with 37 points in a field of 23 teams spanning across the New England area.
How it Happened I Friday March 7
- Jahaida Gabriel won the 200m dash and qualified for the 200m finals, crossing the line in 24.93 seconds. Teammate Sydney Connolly finished ninth in the event with a time of 25.69 and Madison DeCamp finished 15th logging a 26.28 200m time.
- Riley Paskow finished eighth in the women's 400m dash with a qualifying time of 58.81 seconds. Paskow will compete in the 400m finals on Saturday. Isabella Tomic also found success in the event, finishing 10th in 59.93 seconds.
- In the women's 5000m run, Maci Chapman led the way for the Warriors, crossing the line in 18:18.39 for fifth place while Olivia Beaudet finished 9th with a time of 18:45.30. Madison Cote also participated in the event and produced a 19:16 5k time, good for 15th place.
- In the field, Grace Bleyer led the way in long jump, finishing 12th with a mark of 5.27m. Paskow clinched 19th place with a mark of 5.05m.
- Makayla Champagne finished 14th in weight throw, tossing for 12.98m.
How it Happened I Saturday March 8
- Jahaida Gabriel won the women's 200m dash with a time of 24.74 seconds. Gabriel also competed in the women's 60m dash where she finished fourth, clocking in a 7.67 seconds.
- Ava Mahoney finished third in the mile with a time of 5:01.45 which added 6 points to the Warriors' total.
- Riley Paskow finished seventh in the 400m dash finals, crossing the line in 58.29 seconds.
- In the field, Grace Bleyer finished 15th in triple jump with a mark of 10.62m while Lauren Boughner secured 16th, hitting a distance of 10.60m.
- The 4x800 tandem of Lily Thomas, Caroline White, Marianna Collins, and Ava Mahoney finished third producing a time of 9:31.41.
- The 4x400 squad consisting of Sydney Connolly, Isabella Tomic, Jahaida Gabriel, and Riley Paskow finished top-five with a time of 3:55.60.

This concludes the indoor season. The Warriors return to action March 21
st for the Black and Gold Invite hosted by the University of Central Florida. The two-day invite will take place at the UCF Track & Field Complex in Orlando Florida.
