Men's Track & Field Sets Two School Records at Alumni Classic

NORTH ANDOVER, MA The Merrimack men's Indoor Track and Field team hosted the Merrimack Alumni Classic, finishing first with 211 points. The meet featured two school records for the Warriors, set in the 110m hurdles and the pole vault.
How it Happened

• Merrimack swept the top two spots in long jump as Brian Gallagher won the event, recording a distance of 6.72m. Jimmy Gogbeh finished right behind, stretching a distance of 6.69m. The tandem's performance earned 16 points for Merrimack.
• Grant Eastin finished first in men's shot put with a mark of 14.78m which added nine points to the Warriors total. Also scoring points for the Warriors was Kyle Adams who finished fourth with a toss of 13.38m.
• Zachary Hubbard finished second in javelin with a mark of 51.85m, while Adams secured third, tossing for 47.25m. Brady Trask rounded out the Warriors stellar performance with a fourth place finish (41.05m).
• Maxim Lussier won men's pole vault with a new school record mark of 4.86m and Max Bothwell finished third in the event with a mark of 3.95m.
• Owen LaRoss finished second in discus, tossing for 43.68m. Will Bierden also had a strong performance, producing a mark of 40.50m for a top-five finish.
• In triple jump, Gallagher placed third with a mark of 12.51m.
• Tyler Loyd placed third in high jump with a mark of 1.83m, good for six points.
• The men's 4x100 relay tandem of Landon Crowley, Thomas Scalia, Brian Gallagher, and Carson Mighty finished runner up with a time of 43.05 seconds.
• In the men's 1500m, Michael Alleva and Reidar Aageson earned points for the Warriors. Alleva placed third in 4:05.33 and Aageson finished fifth in 4:09.15.
• John Elie Jr. won the 110m hurdles with a new school record time of 14.38 seconds to claim nine points. Jackson Bomba also had a successful run, punching in at 15.93 seconds to take fourth.
• The Warriors took the top two places in the 400m run. Cory Couture finished first in 48.25 with Jadis Yarbrough not far behind (51.24).
• Carson Mighty and Landon Crowley were the scoring Warriors in the 100m dash. Mighty placed sixth, clocking in at 11.05 seconds and Crowley finished 10^th in 11.19 seconds.
• Owen Schultz paved the way for the Warriors in the 800m dash, subbing the 2 minute mark at 1:59.62 while teammate Luke Llewellyn finished eighth in 2:04.07.
• Blake Hickey captured second place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.02.
• Cory Couture finished runner-up in the 200m dash with a time of 21.37 while teammate Landon Crowley placed eighth with a time of 22.46.
• The Warriors secured the top four spots in the 5k. Aidan Dupill led the pack, crossing the line in 14:56.02 with Sean Moore right on his tail (15:06.17). Ryan Dyer Captured third clocking in at 15:21.98 and Jack Lombardi rounded out the top four with a time of 15:27.64.
• Merrimack's 4x400m relay tandem of Maddox Merlo, Jadis Yarbrough, Blake Hickey, and Cory Couture placed first with a time of 3:24.51, earning nine points for the Warriors.
