EDISON, NJ – Merrimack College men's tennis freshman,
Mateusz Gradzki was voted as the MAAC Rookie of The Year as announced by the MAAC on Thursday morning.
Gradzki, who is coming off of a stellar freshman campaign for the Warriors, was also selected to the All-MAAC First Team. The Ridgewood, New York native had a handful of great outings this year. He was able to grab a singles win at Brown in the number one position early in the year and he and fellow teammate,
Morgan Donovan, earned a doubles victory at Rider later in the season. Gradzki also secured a singles victory at the number two position in the team's match with Rider. Still he was not finished as he snared singles wins at Siena, versus Sacred Heart, at Fairfield, at Stonehill and at Mount St. Mary's all from the number one and two positions. He was able to add doubles victories against Boston University and at Quinnipiac as well. A dominant first year in North Andover cultivates in a major award for the talented youngster.
