AMESBURY, Mass. – Merrimack College women's hockey freshman goaltender
Lauren Lyons was named the Hockey East Rookie of Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Lyons, a freshman from Brooklin, Ontario made 43 saves in her first collegiate start as she helped backstop the Warriors to a 5-3 upset win over the #7 Clarkson Golden Knights this past Saturday night.
Lyons and the Warriors hit the road as they head to New York to face Union College on Friday, October 3
rd. Puck drop is at 6 PM.
