Roman Selected As MAAC Player Of The Week For the Second Time

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Merrimack forward Madison Roman took home MAAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after recording a double-double in both of Merrimack's wins

Roman scored 14 points in the overtime time win against Marist. She hit 6 shots from the field and shot 50%. Roman added on 13 rebounds and had two steals in 43 minutes. 

In the Warriors Saturday win over Siena, Roman exploded for 21 points shooting 50% from the field again. The junior hit all seven of her free throw opportunities and came down with 13 rebounds. Roman flirted with a triple double in the matchup posting six assists. 

She extended her double-double streak on Saturday to five straight games. In that time, she is averaging 17.6 ppg and 13.6 rpg. 

Roman and the Warriors head to Iona this Wednesday to face the Gaels in a matinee contest. Tip off from New Rochelle is set for 11 a.m.
