BROCKTON, MA – Senior
Neva Sa won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle, but the Merrimack women's swimming & diving team lost to Stonehill 145-135 on Saturday night at Massassoit Community College.
Sa swam the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.33 and the 500 freestyle in 5:18.31.
"We battled tonight, but came up a little short," Merrimack head coach
Erin Cammann said. "Yesterday was a great example of a fantastic team win, and today we had a bunch of individually stellar performances, but didn't quite pull it off."
Senior
Cameron Zuliani won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.81 and took second in the 50 butterfly in 27.57.
Sophia Ferrara won the 1-meter diving with a score of 234.70. Freshman Liz Vurta won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.73. Merrimack's won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:45.25 Zuliani,
Camila De La Rosa,
Ally Jacques and
Madison McAloon.
The Warriors had defeated Stonehill 130-92 on Friday night, but were swimming without senior captain
Kendra Daily on Saturday night.
Merrimack returns to action at the 2026 MAAC Championships Feb. 11-14 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, OH.
