Eastin Named MAAC Field Athlete of The Week

North Andover, MA-- Merrimack College men's Track and Field member Grant Eastin was named as MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) Field Athlete of the Week as announced by conference on Tuesday afternoon.


Eastin, a senior, specializing in Throws from Beverly, Massachusetts won his event at the MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational on Saturday, notching a Weight Throw of 17.10 meters which is a new Personal Best for him what also places him into third place All time in Merrimack record book. Eastin also had a top five finish in the Hammer Throw in the same meet with a distance of 14.06 meters.

Merrimack continues their season next week as they will take part in the Harvard University Invitational on Friday, January 30^th.
