PRINCETON, NJ - The Merrimack College men's volleyball team heads to the Garden State this Friday to take on Ivy league opponent Princeton. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Dillon Gymnasium.

The Warriors are 1-2 to start the season, splitting a weekend doubleheader against Dominican University two weeks ago, and dropping a match to George Mason last weekend.

Dallas Birkenbeuel leads the Warriors in kills with 54. In the teams last match, he led the team in kills with 11. Birkenbeuel tallied a 21 kill and 13 dig double-double against the Chargers three weeks ago in their home opener win. In their season opener in Orangeburg he set a career high with 22 kills.

Warriors newcomer Max Tkachev has tallied double-figure kills in two of the first three matches this season. In the win over the Chargers at home, Tkachev had 20 kills.Â

Blake Taschner had 21 kills in the season opener at Dominican and finished one dig shy of a double-double. He came away with 11 digs in their victory the next day.Â

Setter Reece Lindstrom has powered his way to a combined 99 assists in the two matchups against Dominican.

Libero Kyle Standage leads the team in digs with 42 and freshman Nathaniel Venegas leads the team in blocks with 11 total.Â
