CAMBRIDGE, MA - The Merrimack College men's volleyball team travels to the campus of Harvard University to take on the Crimson this Friday and the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters on Saturday.
The Warriors have been led by sophomore Dallas Birkenbeuel through the first four matches of the season. Birkenbeuel has tallied 63 total kills and 27 digs. He tallied his first career double-double in the team's home opener against Dominican.
Newcomer Max Tkachev has 42 kills and 19 digs on the season so far. Tkachev tallied double-figure kills in each of his first two matches against Dominican.
Libero Kyle Standage has amounted to 42 digs in his three matches played, averaging 14 per match.
Reece Lindstrom hit the triple-figures in assists after just three matches played. He is tied for 20th in the nation in assists per set with 9.5.
Blake Taschner has added 37 kills, 26 assists, and 28 digs for the Warriors. Taschner finished one dig shy of a double-double in the season opener against Dominican when he had a team leading 21 kills and nine digs.
Freshman Nathaniel Venegas leads the team in blocks with 11 total. Among all freshmen in the nation, Venegas is ranked 10th in blocks per set with 0.92.
