GENEVA, OH – The Merrimack women's swimming & diving team set four school records in a pair of events on the first day of the 2026 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday at SPIRE.
The 200-medley relay team of Kenda Daily,
Emma McCarthy,
Cameron Zuliani and
Keeley Harney set the school record in 1:45.92 with Daily's back split of 26.17 also setting a school record.
The 800 freestyle relay team of
Neva Sa,
Julia Tejeda,
Camila De La Rosa and
Casey Bednarek set the school record in 7:46.49. Sa's opening 200 set a school record of 1:51.91.
"The divers and relay swimmers got us off to a terrific start today," Merrimack head coach
Erin Cammann said. "It was especially sweet to see senior captains
Kendra Daily and
Neva Sa lowering their own records on their lead legs."
Sophia Ferrara finished 15
th in the 1-meter diving with 187.85.and
Kali Alexa took 16thin 180.45.
"I'm extremely proud of the divers for both scoring in the top 16 in our first year with a diving program," Cammaran said. "We're all looking forward to the start of the individual swim events tomorrow."
