Men's Tennis Downed By Mount St. Mary's

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack men's tennis team won the doubles point, but lost to Mount St. Mary's 4-1 on Sunday at the Willows Racquet & Fitness Center.

Mike Schut and Ludolph Wiggett won 6-3 at No. 1 doubles and Tom Van Nooten and Strahinja Djukic won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Juan Carlos Portilla and Trey Pleasant were up 5-3 when the Warriors clinched the doubles point.

In singles, Merrimack's Djukic was up 6-4, 2-6, 2-0 and Portilla was up 5-0 when the Mount clinched the match.

The Warriors hit the road for three-straight matches beginning Sunday at Niagara at 3 p.m.
