NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Guard Kevair Kennedy takes home Rookie of the Week honors after averaging just over 20 points a game in the last week of play.
In the weekend opener against Canisius, Kennedy scored 25 points, making it the fifth straight game going over the 20-point threshold. He shot an impressive 8-for-10 from the field and added on six rebounds.Â
In the win to close out the regular season against Niagara, Kennedy scored 16 points. He shot just over 50% and chipped in seven assists.Â
Kennedy scored in double-figures 29 straight games during the season and scored over 20 points in 15 of those games.Â
Kennedy and the Warriors are off to Atlantic City later this week to begin their road to the MAAC Championship. They will take on the winner of a game between #8 Iona and #9 Sacred Heart on Friday at 6 p.m.
