ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The third-seeded Merrimack Warriors take the floor against No. 2 Fairfield in the semifinal round of the MAAC Women's Basketball Championships at Boardwalk Hall on Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors (19-11, 15-5 in MAAC) advanced to the conference semifinals after beating Mount St. Mary's, 62-48, in the quarterfinal round. The Stags (26-4, 19-1 in MAAC) advanced to the conference semifinals after they beat No. 7 Sacred Heart on Friday. Fairfield entered the postseason ranked No. 25 in Division I women's basketball.
