NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After a 1-0-1 performance last weekend against Penn State, the Merrimack College women's ice hockey team opens up Hockey East play Friday night, taking on Boston University inside Lawler Rink.
Last Time Out:
- The Warriors left Pennsylvania in a positive fashion, with a come-from-behind draw followed by a Saturday afternoon win against the Nittany Lions.
- After trailing 1-0 for nearly half of Friday night's game, the Warriors used an extra skater in the final two minutes to pull level. A pass slotted into senior Katelyn Rae was fired into the back of the net, scoring the tying and eventual final goal in the series opener.
- Game two saw three goals from each team, with Merrimack scoring the first two and earning their third win of the season.
- Seniors Jessica Bonfe scored her first goal of the season, and sophomore Megan Fergusson netted her second of the season to highlight the Warriors in the Saturday afternoon contest.
