NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After a 1-0-1 performance last weekend against Penn State, the Merrimack College women's ice hockey team opens up Hockey East play Friday night, taking on Boston University inside Lawler Rink.

Last Time Out:
  • The Warriors left Pennsylvania in a positive fashion, with a come-from-behind draw followed by a Saturday afternoon win against the Nittany Lions.
  • After trailing 1-0 for nearly half of Friday night's game, the Warriors used an extra skater in the final two minutes to pull level. A pass slotted into senior Katelyn Rae was fired into the back of the net, scoring the tying and eventual final goal in the series opener.
  • Game two saw three goals from each team, with Merrimack scoring the first two and earning their third win of the season.
  • Seniors Jessica Bonfe scored her first goal of the season, and sophomore Megan Fergusson netted her second of the season to highlight the Warriors in the Saturday afternoon contest.
Matchup Flashback:
  • The Warriors met with the Terriers three times last season, going 1-2; the first game of the season for Merrimack was against Boston University, and resulted in a 2-1 win.
  • Merrimack is 2-6 against the Terriers all-time.
Scouting the Terriers
  • The Terriers opened the 2018-19 season against Northeastern at home, losing game one and drawing the second matchup.
