NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's ice hockey team will be on the road to take on the Black Bears of Maine this Friday, November 2, at 7 p.m. The Warriors look to extend their win streak to four games and improve upon what has already been a record-setting season.
Five Things to Know:
- At 6-1-2, the Merrimack Women's Ice Hockey Team has its best start to a season in program history. The previous best was last season's start of 4-3-2.
- The Warriors currently rank third in Hockey East standings (7pts) trailing Northeastern (11pts) and Boston College (8pts).
- Senior Katelyn Rae ranks first in Hockey East play in goals per game with 0.80. She also ranks 10th in the nation with 0.78 goals per game.
- Senior Goaltender Samantha Ridgewell recently received recognition as the Hockey East Goaltender of the Month. She ranks 10th in the nation in goals against average (1.094) as well as fourth in Hockey East play (1.38).
- Merrimack ranks 10th in the nation in scoring margin (1.44) and 17th in assists (29).
