BOSTON – The Merrimack College men's track and field team opened the season with record-setting performances at the Emmanuel College Indoor Season Opener on Saturday. Merrimack finished its first Division I meet with two new program records and five first place finishes across events.

Meet Highlights:
- Freshman Nathan Quaye set a new program record for shot put with a 14.50m throw for first place, as well as taking first in the weight throw at 13.95m.
- Drew Gardner, a sophomore, took the pole vault with a program record 4.30m finish.
- Freshman Carson Doody won the triple jump at 13.40m, eleven-tenths of a meter ahead of the second place finisher.
- Eric Rosario set a Merrimack record for the 500m with his 1:04.82 first place win.
- In the 3000m, TJ Corliss took the win at 8:48.38, with Noah Davis earned a second place finish at 8:51.27.
- Freshman Henry Osei came in second with a 7.00 finish in the 60m.
- Senior Pat Whyte matched his personal best in the high jump, taking a 2.00m mark for second place.
- Gunnar Hasselquist took third in the 5000m at 15:43.70.
- The men's 4x400m relay team of Daniel Lovell, Jason Louis, Daniel Leto, and Colin Rahaman finished at 3:29.93 for second place in the event.

The Warriors will return to the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center to compete against Northeastern next Saturday, December 14.
