NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The No. 4 Merrimack College men's lacrosse will aim to extend its six-game winning streak when it concludes its three-game stretch against the Northeast-10 Conference's three New Hampshire-based teams, as the Warriors battle Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday. Game time from Sodexo Field is set for 3:30 p.m.

Five Things to Know:
  • The Warriors are still riding their longest win streak of the season (6) after a pair of wins last week against both Saint Anselm (18-12) and Southern New Hampshire (16-9). Sophomore Christian Thomas (10g, 6a) earned his first NE10 Player of the Week accolade after a 16-point week, including a career-best 10-point outing in last Tuesday's win at No. 20 Saint Anselm.
  • Recording no fewer than 12 goals in any game this season, Merrimack owns the NE10's best scoring offense (and the country's third-best), averaging 17.67 goals per game. They also boast the nation's top-ranked man-up offense that converts at 52.6 percent. The Warriors have also taken care of the ball well, as indicated by their nation-low 13.22 turnovers per game and an 84.5-percent clearing percentage that ranks 20th nationally.
  • Junior Charlie Bertrand continues to back up his status as one of the nation's best overall players with a team-leading 62 points on the strength of 47 goals and 15 assists in seven games. He leads the country in points per game (7.75) and goals per game (5.88), while sophomore Sean Black leads the country in assists per game (3.75) and ranks fourth in scoring average (6.13).
  • The Warriors have also won 17 straight against NE10 foes, the longest active streak in the NE10 and second-longest conference winning streak nationally.
  • Merrimack has never lost in 18 tries against Franklin Pierce, including last year's 14-6 win at home. The Ravens enter Wednesday 4-4 overall (2-4 NE10) and are led by Jake Castorf's 30 points on offense (20g, 10a). Lawrence Bastianelli's 63.88-percent faceoff clips impresses, while in net, Justin Lorenzo has started all eight games and owns a .479 save percentage and 10.55 goals against.
