NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- The Merrimack men's lacrosse team is moving on.
The No. 4 Warriors defeated No. 5 Quinnipiac, 14-12, in the opening round of the MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championships at Duane Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Merrimack will travel to top-seeded Siena for a conference semifinal matchup on Thursday at noon.
Colin Kruger (two goals, two assists) and
Casey Herod (goal, three assists) both finished with four points while
John Savino netted a hat-trick.
Rob Tyra (two goals, assist) and
Finn Dougherty (two goals) both contributed to the offensive output.
Jaden Galfano finished with 10 saves.
The Warriors scored three goals in the opening three minutes before going into the half tied, 9-9.
